A family in Antigua and Barbuda that recently purchased land in Cedar Valley is expressing their frustration over a deteriorating situation that they believe compromises the beauty of their new property.
Reports indicate that the road leading to their private land has been transformed into a makeshift dump yard, causing significant discontent among the family members.
According to the family’s accounts, they tried to clean the area, removing discarded items and debris in hopes of restoring its natural beauty. Unfortunately, their hard work was short-lived, as the same waste reappeared just a few weeks later.
Antigua.news visited the site over the weekend and observed a troubling scene: oil bottles, old mattresses, refrigerators, used coconuts, plastic bags, and a variety of miscellaneous junk have littered the area, likely discarded by individuals passing through.
The family calls for community awareness and responsibility, urging residents to respect the natural environment and avoid using the area as a dumping ground.
They are hopeful that with the community’s cooperation, the situation can be improved, allowing them to enjoy their property without the eyesore of litter and debris.
