Court Grants Adjournment in Box Money Scheme Hearing

25 March 2025 - 06:23

Keithesha Edwards

The case involving Keithesha Edwards from Belmont saw a brief adjournment granted by Senior Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel during the first hearing on Monday

Edwards, who is visibly pregnant, was given additional time in court. The adjournment underscores the court’s consideration for her circumstances.

The next hearing is set for April 23, 2025, as the case continues to develop regarding the allegations of defrauding a client of $4,800 through the ‘box money’ scheme.

This pause in proceedings highlights the court’s ability to accommodate personal situations while ensuring justice is served.

  1. Alloq the girl to go about her business. She made a mistake. Let her pay back and deal with the matter privately. Dragging someone to court heavily pregnant and plastering her name all over the media that ain’t cool atol.

    • betta ya hush. People money is important. drag her to court let her pay back. cause if they don’t do that she will just be making promises to the people. but you seems to be a friend of hers so you’d have a problem about what she faces. what about the victims

      • I dont know why people so teef! She probably got pregnant hoping for this outcome but if I were the judge I would have proceeded with the case. Some people just some scam artist! We have those living in people property and don’t want to pay for the privilege. Some wanting good roads but don’t want to pay for them. Wanting other people’s things and just wanting things for free seems to be an Antiguan infection.

      • I sympathize with the unborn baby not the mother. You can see she is a materialistic person

  2. What does her pregnancy have to do with her apparently in court? She got pregnant so she can evade court? Anyway our system is really flawed. I hate nonesense.
