The Ministry of Education, Sports, and the Creative Industries and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority invites individuals interested in mastering the traditional art of Conch Shell Blowing and John Bull Whip Mastery to a FREE training workshop on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Multipurpose Cultural Center from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Three expert facilitators will lead this unique opportunity from Guadeloupe, a region renowned for preserving and celebrating these cultural traditions.

These skilled presenters have perfected the art of Conch Shell Blowing and John Bull Whip performance, ensuring an authentic and enriching experience for all participants.

Interested persons for the Conch Shell Blowing are encouraged to bring a Conch Shell as limited ones are available.

This initiative is part of an ongoing cultural exchange program between Antigua and Guadeloupe. A recently concluded cultural exchange established a key Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the revival of these important art forms.

Don’t miss this chance to learn, preserve, and celebrate our shared cultural heritage!

For more information, please contact the Ministry of Creative Industries by contacting the office at (268) 562-9606.
