A 20-year-old Grays Farm resident, Dequan Pryce, was arraigned in court on Monday, facing weapons-related charges for allegedly possessing an illegal firearm and ammunition.

Pryce was charged with unlawful possession of six .32mm rounds of ammunition and a Harrington and Richardson .32 revolver, with prosecutors alleging the offenses occurred on March 19.

Appearing before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel and represented by attorney Jason Tiwari, Pryce entered a not guilty plea.

As a result of his plea, the case is set to proceed to a full trial.

The prosecution has indicated they will call eight witnesses to support their case. The court has ordered the prosecution to disclose their complete case file within 28 days.

The trial is scheduled for June 24 and 25, where the details of the alleged weapons possession will be examined.
