Shawn Mussington found guilty of murder

You can now listen to Antigua News articles!

His lawyer Wendel Robinson tried to argue that constant  ill treatment coupled with alcohol drinking that night led him to stab the deceased.

Meanwhile, Mussington apologized to the court for his actions claiming that he truly loved Whyte-Barrington.

Nevertheless, Mussington was found guilty today by a jury.

He will now remain behind bars until sentencing by Justice Tunde Bakre.

You guys notice that the Antiguans are being convicted and when the Jamaicans are placed on trial, it’s always a no case submission.. I hope Chantel’ murder won’t go just like that. Justice for Chantel! The police better be Vigilant in collecting all the necessary evidence in Chantel’s case. How crude and uncouth you are. This is a public forum on a news site and you are discussing women as if their value lies in their womanhood.

This man killed the lady sadly and there are myriad reasons for crimes of passion. The jails are full of people who got overly emotional and did something stupid without thinking of the consequences.

Hopefully he gets a long sentence, and ample opportunity to rehabilitate himself before being released and becoming a productive member of society once again if people allow him too, as our people love to remind persons of their mistakes even years after the fact.

Yes, but he gets to live, but she doesn’t! That’s sad! That’s not a mistake or a stupid error that he made because he’s emotional, that’s MURDER premeditated? He went there to do her in!
