Deon Lloyd

The committal proceedings in Antigua and Barbuda’s for Deon Lloyd, the man charged in connection with Javorn Williams’ death, has been postponed until June 4

The case stems from an encounter that unfolded on January 2 at the landmark formerly known as Boggy Peak, now officially called Mount Obama.

It is said that what began as a confrontation between the two men escalated tragically, leaving 35-year-old Williams dead from gunshot wounds.

Lloyd, a 42-year-old Lower Ottos resident represented by attorney Wendel Alexander, was scheduled to appear for his committal hearing on March 26.

However, when brought before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week, the proceedings couldn’t move forward as planned.

Really unfortunate to see how that turned out. Why is a gun needed in an argument. Let’s just disagree and go our way. Smh

Self Defense? thats dumb. tell me a knife is used as self defense. you’re fighting with someone, it takes so much to reach for your gun, crank it back and fire. don’t hand me th bs today. it will never stop delaying. its a way of letting the cases fly by like wind. Charges may drop soon and the case thrown to sea

If someone is beating you with a hoe and a cutlass so what if he used a firearm
