In a stunning turn of events during yesterday’s highly anticipated racing event, the Battle of the Belts, two cars were severely damaged in a major accident that left spectators gasping in disbelief.
Initial reports suggest that the crash may have been triggered by an unprepared racing surface. Following heavy rainfall the day before, the finish line area was littered with dust and pebbles, creating a hazardous environment for the drivers.
The chaotic scene unfolded as both vehicles flipped upside down, raising fears for the drivers’ safety.
Fortunately, both drivers managed to escape from the wreckage unharmed, thanks in no small part to the robust safety cages enforced by the Antigua and Barbuda Drag Racing Association.

Speed thrills but kills whether on our roadways or the official race tracks. Our boys and men need to channel their testosterone into more manly RACE preservation and uplifting pursuits!!

Safety matters. Well done to the organizers for ensuring that the cages are in place.

More times i’m left to question the safety in these racing events. Race tracks are made for racing but its the same as how speed kill on the road so help me to understand this.
Well, atleast we are not saying, Thoughts and Prayers to the families and friends of the victims.
Also thankful that the racing safety rules are in place or it would be a different outcome.
Wow, what a wild day at the Battle of the Belts. I was actually there. That crash was something else—definitely not what we expected. Racing is all about pushing limits, but moments like that remind us how dangerous it can be.. Can’t wait to see what happens next tho. Racing is never short on surprises!
Better on the race track than on the public roads and I’m grateful there’s no loss of life.
I don’t know how driving fast can be considered a sport but to each his own. It’s not for me
Very sad case, people we must drive with caution and care.
I always wonder to myself if racing is even relevant. Most of these guys wanna die anyway. I know they get a high from it or a kick from it but it is very dangerous to be out there likadat
