The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB) has received a timely and generous donation from the American University of Antigua (AUA), further strengthening the ongoing partnership between the two institutions.
The items include five Dell desktop computers, two Dell laptop computers, and two HP color printers. These were officially handed over to the Head of “A” Division and St. John’s Police Station, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr. Samuel Joseph on Friday, April 11, in ceremony at AUA.
ACP Joseph accepted the equipment on behalf of the Royal Police Force and expressed sincere appreciation to AUA for its continued support.
“This donation will go a long way in improving the efficiency of services provided to the public,” he stated. “AUA has always been a strong supporter of the work and efforts of the RPFAB in delivering timely and professional service, and we look forward to even greater collaboration with the University in the future.”
Mr. Marlon Destin, representing the American University of Antigua, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to community partnership and public service.
“This contribution reflects AUA’s continued commitment to strengthening community partnerships and supporting essential public services. These items will assist the police in enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining public safety,” he said.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continues to value meaningful partnerships with corporate and community stakeholders as it strives to improve policing services across the nation.
Donations are great, but I’d love to see a national plan for upgrading police infrastructure long-term. Can we also get updates on how this improves service at the St. John’s Police Station?
Good start, but let’s make sure these tools are used effectively. Tech is only as good as the systems and training behind it.
Hope these donations are use to better investigation within the country. More equipments should mean more crime solving
The government is the one who should be equipping the police.
Thank you AUA. it’s good to invest where u do business
