I urge the Antigua Public Utility Authority to hold accountability for this. some serious inspection and security of these wires should be carried out before it becomes a bigger problem. Public safety must be a priority and immediate maintenance can prevent more serious consequences down the line. But I guess they are truly waiting on something like a fire to happen.

You are spot on. The DCA also needs to be held accountable for this too.

Atleast someone realises the slackness of the people responsible for this. I am afraid to even park close to wires can we never know what can happen. These are important things that has to be looked into in order for us to maintain safety

Very disheartened by the state of the wires around the island, most specially in the town area. Representation of how people neglect their duties until something bad happens. This is not safety at all

The state of these wire poses hazard to almost the entirety of the nation. When you drive around there’s many places that have tangled wires and even with some, the wire is hanging down. It’s like we’ve live the thought of safety for other so we don’t care. The responsible ones should work on this not pass it straight

We shouldn’t have to wait for someone to get electrocuted or for a fire to break out before action is taken. Where is the accountability? It’s 2025 why do we still have wires hanging like we’re in a post-storm zone? Who’s in charge of this mess? A disaster is waiting to happen, literally.

Urban infrastructure reflects national priorities. This isn’t just about wires, it’s about how much we value safety and functionality in our capital city. The photos speak for themselves. This isn’t just an eyesore, it’s a serious safety risk. If this was a tourist hotspot, it would’ve been fixed like yesterday. There needs to be routine inspection and maintenance by APUA or whoever’s responsible. Infrastructure should reflect the standards we claim to uphold.
