Soca Artist Facing Sexual Offence Charges

A local Soca artist has been charged with two sexual offences stemming from an alleged incident late last year.

The artist, who cannot be named for legal reasons until convicted, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week facing charges of indecent assault and serious indecency.

The charges relate to allegations made by a woman regarding an incident that reportedly occurred on December 23, 2024.

During the court appearance, the magistrate granted bail to the accused.

A committal hearing has been scheduled for May 12, at which point the court will determine if there is sufficient evidence for the case to proceed to trial.

    In most cases these girls are the women of these men. Stop trying to prevent us young people from being happy. Some of us have daddy issues and the grown adults treat us better…love us better…their love is sweet and true. We need love. We grave love. I remember when I had my first relationship shop. This man treated me like a princess…just the way I wanted my father to treat me but he didn’t. I am now 17 and still in love with my 43 year old. Leave us be happy.
