Clare Hall Man Gets 4 Years And 5 Months for Firearm and Ammunition

Neil Guye, a 32-year-old Clare Hall resident has been sent to prison for 4 years and 5 months after pleading guilty to charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition after appearing before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel.

The charges stem from a police operation conducted early Saturday morning. At approximately 5:00 am on April 26, officers executed a search warrant at Guye’s Clare Hall residence. During the search, authorities discovered one 9mm Colt pistol along with ninety-five rounds of matching ammunition under the house.

Guye was immediately taken into custody following the discovery and was formally charged shortly afterward.

On Monday he admitted to the crime and was remanded until today for sentencing.

    The cops are on a rampage to make an example of these people and I am so happy that this is so. Too many people have guns and ammunition like mangoes by the side of the streets. Time to sift them out.
