Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) Chairman EP Chet Greene did not mince words when speaking on the impact the party and the Antigua Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU) have had on the country’s development.
While speaking at the Labour Day celebrations the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs not only crediting the stalwarts of the past “on whose shoulders we stand on” but looked to the present where he says is a shining example of the power of the party and the union in assisting in the positive enhancements of Antigua and Barbuda.
“We built this city. Take away the contributions of our union. Take away the contributions of our party and tell me what’s left. There is no organization, that can lay claim to develop Antigua and Barbuda, its infrastructure and its people like we can. We will continue to build this city,” Greene stated.
The rebirth of LIAT and the establishment of the UWI Five Islands Campus were just a few of the developments Greene touched on to boost his point of the great work of the party.
He assured patrons that the party is working feverishly to address the water woes and the road infrastructure.
Greene recommitted himself and the other ministers to the work of elevating the nation.
He is correct in all that he has said. They built this city. Labour has done alot for this little country whether we like it or not. Great words chet. Our incoming prime minister
Onwards and upwards.. keep lifting up our country and its people .
This country is a dump, they build wealth for themselves he means, this place looks like a LANDFILL …
The lower and middle class people of this country built it with hard work and sacrifice . Our great grandmas and grandpas built this country both red and blue no party had any thing to do with it by itself. The only thing you and the rest of your scollywogs have been doing is selling our lands giving away our passports and pocketing the money. Talking bout we built this country. Papa bird laughing at you boy
100% E.P Chet Greene. I understand what you have said. Truth be told the ABLP has done a lot. Keep up the good work.
