The US Coast Guard announced that the crew of Cutter Venturous offloaded approximately 5,300 pounds of cocaine and marijuana, valued at around $14.1 million, at Coast Guard Base Miami Beach.

This seizure resulted from four interdictions in the Caribbean Sea conducted by USCGC Diligence and HNLMS Groningen, along with a Coast Guard law enforcement team.

Commander Karen Kutkiewicz emphasized the importance of teamwork in preventing narcotics from entering communities, highlighting collaboration among the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and international partners.

The interdiction operations were coordinated by several agencies, including JIATF-S and Seventh Coast Guard District, based in Miami.
