The case against a young man accused of shooting another individual with a modified flare gun was committed to the September assizes by Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week.

Iandre Williams of Villa faces multiple serious charges stemming from an incident on September 11, 2024 at Hans Street in Villa, where he allegedly shot a then 24-year-old man following an altercation.

Williams, who was 21 at the time, has been charged with unlawful possession of a modified flare gun, possession of one .32 round of ammunition, and shooting with intent to murder.

Additional charges include unlawfully and maliciously wounding Zahvante Hill with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
