Suspicious Death of 19-Year-Old Joyleen Abraham: Boyfriend in Custody as Investigation Continues

The boyfriend of a Guyanese woman who reportedly jumped out of a moving vehicle remains in custody as the investigation continues. Police are treating the death of 19-year-old Joyleen Abraham as suspicious.

Reports indicate that shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, Joyleen allegedly jumped from a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Victor Ince from Lightfoot West. The incident occurred on a by-road connecting New Winthorpes to the Jabberwock Main Road.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Joyleen’s body lying motionless on the southern side of the roadway, with multiple injuries. A medical doctor pronounced her dead around 6:30 p.m.

 

Victor Ince is currently assisting authorities with the investigation, and the vehicle involved has been seized for a forensic examination at Police Headquarters.

The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward. Individuals with information can contact the Coolidge Police Station at 462-3185, the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913/14, or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 800-TIPS (8477).

    What could the parents of this child be feeling at this very day. Her mother and father must be very distrubed right about now. It is always sad when a child dies in this way. Is there a blight in Antigua and Barbuda
