In Teacher, Teacher – The Power is Yours, we confront a critical moment in Antigua and Barbuda’s education system, a standoff that impacts every one of us. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. These second-rate, shameless, politically driven charlatans seem not to recognize the damage they are inflicting upon themselves. No longer is the profession of teaching held in esteem, reverence and respect. Today, even a cursory examination of a child’s school books and course work would reveal some startling truths about the profession and its reps. In true mafia-style style the country continues to shell out millions of dollars annually to a harem of dunces who, by some miracle, manages to acquire basic teaching qualifications, persons who can hardly string two sentences together flawlessly! Go through your child(ren)’s course work! Attend a parents-teachers meeting and just listen to them trying to sound intelligent!!!! These are the very ones who today refuse to teach children for the most ridiculous of reasons! Either they have no children, or their own children are enrolled in private schools, so they don’t have to give a damn. It’s embarrassing in today’s world to reveal/admit that one is a teacher. It will only get worse!
So ashamed of this mercenary bunch.
Alot of these teachers are a waste of time. I understand their grief but they need to be held accountable for the poor performances of the students
Why d9nt you publish certain comments? A total shame and disgrace ANRIGUA NEWS!
