The opening of the general post office in Cedar Grove has been delayed due to transportation issues, So said the Chief of Staff within the Office of The Prime Minister, Lionel ‘Max” Hurst. He made the announcement during Thursday’s Cabinet Briefing.

Hurst said, “It’s a reason relating to transportation. As you know, if the government moves an office from St. John’s to somewhere in rural Antigua, I would be required to provide transportation to its workers.”

Hurst also stated that this wasn’t a matter brought up in Cabinet on Wednesday.

  1. It’s really frustrating to hear that the opening of the general post office in Cedar Grove has been delayed. But this is Antigua, and there is always an excuse. Hopefully, they can resolve them quickly so the community can benefit from the new service. It’s a shame these things happen, especially when people are looking forward to it. Here’s hoping for a faster solution!
