The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) is gearing up to participate in the 43rd annual Caribbean Travel Marketplace, set to take place in Antigua and Barbuda from May 18 to 22, 2025.
This key regional event, organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), aims to unite tourism industry professionals—including suppliers, buyers, and leaders—to foster business collaborations and promote diverse Caribbean destinations.
Leading the Dominican delegation will be Marva Williams, the Chief Executive Officer of Discover Dominica Authority and Director of Tourism. She will be joined by a talented team, including Andia Ravariere (Destination Marketing Manager), Monelle Alexis (Communications and Public Relations Specialist), and Cyrillia Alexis (Marketing Assistant), along with representatives from Zapwater Public Relations, which operates in the United States and Canada. According to the DDA’s press release, all members are seasoned professionals dedicated to showcasing Dominica.
The Authority emphasizes that Dominica’s participation underscores the island’s commitment to enhancing its tourism sector by promoting its unique attractions such as eco-tourism, adventure activities, wellness retreats, and rich cultural traditions.
The Caribbean Travel Marketplace presents an invaluable opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, explore new business avenues, and strengthen existing partnerships.
“Participating in the Caribbean Travel Marketplace is a strategic move to solidify our reputation as a leading sustainable tourism destination. We look forward to connecting with regional and international partners to highlight the island’s natural beauty, authentic experiences, and dedication to responsible tourism that benefits visitors and local communities alike,” expressed Marva Williams.
The upcoming event will also feature important activities—including Responsible Tourism Day, the Caribbean Travel Forum, press conferences, and the inaugural Direct Booking Summit, Caribbean Edition—all aimed at promoting sustainable tourism initiatives and innovation across the region.
Welcome to Antigua
Really nice. I love DA. When the time comes welcome to our little paradise.
So why isn’t there a story on every other country that’s attending? Why special recognition for just Dominica
