Dr. Deidra Rawlins, hailing from Antigua and Barbuda, recently earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University, focusing on Health Equity. This achievement complements her background as a licensed medical doctor (MD) and emphasizes her dedication to enhancing health outcomes for underserved communities.
Dr. Rawlins’ pursuit of the MPH underscores her commitment to continuous education in the dynamic healthcare field. By integrating her medical knowledge with public health insights, she aims to drive systemic changes that promote access and equity in healthcare.
“The combination of my MD and MPH allows me to treat individual patients while also addressing the broader social issues that impact entire communities,” Dr. Rawlins shared.
At her graduation ceremony on May 17, 2025, in Boston, she celebrated with her husband Marlon, their children Madison and Matthew, and her mother Nalda Peterson, along with her mother-in-law Generis Rawlins. Family and friends, including her father Reginald Peterson from Liberta, provided remote support to mark this special milestone.
