House on Bendals Main Road destroyed by fire

One man is in police custody as investigations into a fire in Bendals main road Friday.

According to sources, the man confessed to setting the house ablaze.

The property, owned by Vi Peterson, where she once lived and raised her children, has remained in her family for generations. Although the house had deteriorated over the years after she moved away, it was still being used by one of her sons for storage.

The blaze, which started in the mid morning, quickly consumed the aging wooden structure. Firefighters responded to the scene, but by the time the flames were brought under control, the building had already been burned.

  1. FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!! Glad to know that the person confessed and didn’t just leave unanswered questions. Why did he set it a blaze tho?

  2. If an arrest has been made, it suggests there’s more to this fire than just an accident. It’s worrying to think about deliberate acts like this, especially with an aging wooden house that could go up quickly. The police really need to get to the bottom of this for the safety of the neighborhood.

  3. What can possibly cause a person to set an unoccupied house on fire? You just burned memories and a possible family historic site!

  4. All that coatly building material that was stored there went up in smoke. They need to make him pay restitution for every single nail, plywood and whatever else that was stored there. People just bad minded.
