Two In Police Custody For Unlawful Possession Of Firearm And Ammunition

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Saturday, 21 June 2025

Two individuals are currently in police custody assisting with investigations into the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

At approximately 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, police officers executed a search warrant at a property in Yorks and found two occupants on the premises. During the search, the police discovered one firearm with several matching rounds of ammunition, and camouflage clothing.

The items were seized and taken to the police station for further investigation. Both individuals were arrested and are being questioned in connection with the discovery. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The Police Administration continues to urge members of the public to report any suspicious activity by contacting the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

  2. Hm, it’s always something. However, it’s nice to see the police actively trying to reduce the presence of ammunition to the general public.
