Three Antiguan women have claimed categories at the Caribbean Posh Icon Women Awards.

Makeup artist Charity Henry of Makeup by Charity H won the Artistry in Beauty Award, while Carlene Spencer, Learning and Development Manager at Sandals Grande Antigua, took home the Education Innovator Award. Environmental advocate Sasha Middleton, Resource Mobilization Advisor for Caribbean Feminist Climate Justice Movement, was honored with the Environmental Stewardship Award.

Spencer’s dual expertise in tourism and education made her a standout candidate, serving as Learning and Development Manager at Sandals Grande Antigua while also being recognized for her innovative approaches to education.

Middleton’s victory in environmental stewardship highlighted her significant contributions to climate justice advocacy throughout the Caribbean. Her work with the Caribbean Feminist Climate Justice Movement has positioned her as a leading voice in regional environmental initiatives.

Henry’s recognition in the artistry category showcased the creative talent emerging from Antigua’s beauty industry, with her work through Makeup by Charity H earning widespread acclaim.

The awards ceremony was part of the Caribbean Posh Weekend held from June 27-29 in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Other Antiguan nominees included fitness entrepreneur Kevinia Francis and Kelesha Antoine for Wellness Innovator; Tamorla Millette for The Founders Award; Refica Attwood for Environmental Stewardship; Keisha Knight for Entrepreneur Excellence and Empowerment in Action; and Chaneil Imhoff for Health Advocate.

Public voting played a crucial role in determining the winners, with support flowing in from the twin island.
