Several outstanding Antiguan women have secured nominations for the Caribbean Posh Icon Women Awards, set to take place during the Caribbean Posh Weekend in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands from June 27-29, 2025.
The event celebrates exceptional Caribbean women who have made remarkable contributions across various sectors including business, arts, community service, and cultural heritage.
One nominee from Antigua is Carlene Spencer, Learning and Development Manager at Sandals Grande Antigua, who has been recognized in two categories: Tourism Excellence Award and Education Innovator Award. Spencer’s dual nominations highlight her significant impact both in tourism leadership and educational advancement.
The Wellness Innovator Award category features two Antiguans: Kevinia Francis, a respected fitness trainer and entrepreneur, alongside Kelesha Antoine, CEO of Herbal Harmony and FIFA Referee Fitness Instructor. Both women have been recognized for their innovative approaches to promoting holistic wellness throughout the Caribbean.
Emerging entrepreneur Tamorla Millette, owner of Party Perfect Antigua, has been nominated for The Founders Award, which recognizes female entrepreneurs creating innovative brands with positive community impact.
Environmental conservation efforts from Antigua are well-represented with Refica Attwood, Executive Director of Wallings Nature Reserve, and Sasha Middleton, Resource Mobilization Advisor for Caribbean Feminist Climate Justice Movement, both nominated for the Environmental Stewardship Award. Middleton has also secured nominations for the Emerging Caribbean Leader Award and Community & Culture Impact Award
The highly competitive Entrepreneur Excellence Award category, which boasts the largest number of regional nominees, includes Keisha Knight, Front Office Supervisor at Mill Reef Club and Sole Proprietor of Knight Legacy Farm. Knight’s exceptional contributions have earned her an additional nomination for the Empowerment in Action Award.
Beauty professional Charity Henry, who operates Makeup by Charity H, has been nominated for the Artistry in Beauty Award, recognizing her talent in showcasing Caribbean beauty through her creative work.
Rounding out the impressive slate of Antiguan nominees is Chaneil Imhoff, Communication Specialist and founder of WISH Wadadli, who received a nomination for the Health Advocate Award in recognition of her dedicated mental health advocacy work.
The Caribbean Posh Icon Women Awards ceremony is designed as an inclusive celebration that invites everyone—fathers, brothers, sons, and partners—to honour these remarkable women while promoting collaboration for regional economic development.
Winners will be announced during the Caribbean Posh Weekend.
