A morning ride turned dangerous for young cyclist Jomari King when a vehicle collision left him hospitalized at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.

The national cyclist was riding with two companions in the Collins vicinity this morning when the incident occurred. King sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention, though medical staff report his condition remains stable.

His father, fellow cyclist Omari King, told Observer that the injured rider is currently awaiting X-ray results to assess the full scope of his injuries. Despite visible bruising, the young athlete is conscious and responsive.

According to reports, the vehicle operator failed to remain at the scene following the collision, but witnesses managed to capture the license plate information of the fleeing car.

  5. This is how they killed Andre Simon, leaving his son fatherless! You hit someone and drove off? How heartless! In Andre’s case i heard that the driver hit someone and attempted to flee when he then run into Andre and some others. Yall are so ridiculous now and heartless
