Residents of Antigua and Barbuda are increasingly voicing their concerns over the state of the island’s street lights.
Initially installed to improve safety and security, many of these lights remain unlit, leaving neighborhoods in darkness and raising questions about the effectiveness of the maintenance and management of public infrastructure.
Concerned but not at all surprised. This is what we have evolved into all in the name of free movement, diversity, political pandering, modernization and a dead Church!
Faithful National. Who signed your discharge from the psyciatric unit? Check yourself back in. You are not yet mentally stable to be out there like this
Public Works and APUA need a maintenance department and team to provide constant maintenance to these street lights. Construct but do not maintain. This bad practice of these departments in government should be a thing of the past not still happening in the twenty first century.
Let the person(s) who vehicle(s) that damaged these light poles let them covered the costs for both new light poles and laborers. I am sure every vehicle that damaged the post has a vehicle insurance.
This almost hit me by surprise till I realise I’m living in Antigua! The same residents that are raising concerns are the same ones damaging them.
The government we have here don’t even care about us. Melford don’t care about anything utility! Look around you, does it look like any government member uphold their side of the bargain in any infrastructure around the country. Chupzzz
Government can’t keep erecting light for people to steal
Hahahah it’s the phone recording that threw me off my bed. This lady is dramatic and makes news fun. In the meantime their cameras are watching. Drama dons and divas at this media house. We love it. And to be more serious these lights need fo be maintained
These are the things that people love to talk about but afraid to bring it across. I visited Antigua a few weeks in 2024 and wondered the same thing

Please! Stay in your buried black-box! Don’t know which wind blew you to our once law-abiding shores. Reality/ the truth always hurts.
I am born and bread and Antiguan. A proud resident of buckleys. I just dont understand your sick messages under the stories even if I come looking dor them regularly. On most days you make sense. Other times you behave like a drunk woman or man..lol
Loved the drama and humor in the video, but let’s not forget the message.
