APUA Marks 52 Years with Opening of New inet Retail Store
As the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) marks its 52nd anniversary of service to the nation, the organization has unveiled its newest milestone, a brand-new inet Retail Store, now officially open at the corner of Market and St. Mary’s Street in the heart of St. John’s.
The opening of the inet store in the former Cecil’s Building symbolizes both growth and modernization, aligning with APUA’s mission to enhance accessibility, customer service, and digital convenience across its operations.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Telecoms Business Unit Manager, Vaughn Browne expressed the long coming of an inet market street branch.
“This facility has been long in coming, from the relaunch of our telecom business under the Inet brand, we sought to establish a presence on market street, it has been several years but thankfully, we are finally here.” Browne said, expressing that the opening of this location is the result of a fundamental desire to serve customers better.
Levor Henry, Head of Sales and Marketing, speaks on the strategic importance to the brand’s growth and customer-centered approach.
“A lot of what we want to do is ensure accessibility to our customers,” Henry said. “A part of opening this branch means we are able to do more, more activations, more activities, more engagements and we are able to collect more feedback to ensure that as we develop new offerings we are doing that with the customers feedback in mind”
He added that being centrally located in the capital allows inet to immerse itself more directly in the community and make more strategic decisions.
“Once we can see exactly where we are in the market, then we can exploit the opportunities that exist. So being in town allows us to immerse ourselves more in the community. And then having that constant feedback allows us to find strategic ways to grow the business”
The new retail location features extended operating hours, a dedicated quick-pay section for electricity and water bills, self-service kiosks available 24/7, and a streamlined customer experience for mobile and broadband services.
I like the fact that their opened on Saturdays. Congratulations APUA
