Heavy-duty machinery stolen from Maulvin’s Trucking and Heavy Duty Equipment

A valuable rig connected to a lowboy owned by Maulvin’s Trucking & Heavy-Duty Equipment was reported stolen from the company’s premises.

Administrative Coordinator Nicosia Davis-Roacher explained in an interview with NewsCo that surveillance footage showed the theft took place on June 22nd, but the staff only noticed it last week.

After discovering the rig’s absence, Maulvin Jr. reviewed the camera recordings and other materials to gather information for a police report.

The company, which provides trucking and heavy-duty equipment services for various construction projects, also operates two subsidiaries: Island-Wide Water Delivery for residential and hotel cistern needs and United Trucking for fuel delivery in Antigua and internationally.

Davis-Roacher expressed that the loss of the rig, valued at over US$21,750, has placed a significant strain on the business. She urged other business owners to check their properties for security regularly.

The police are currently considering a potential suspect, who is off the island at this time.

  6. Well he must have had a lot of truck that he didn’t notice the truck missing. Or could be he thought a worker had the truck! So he wasn’t studying that. There’s reasons to why they could’ve not noticed till a week later

  7. This kind of operation isn’t solo work. Moving heavy equipment takes planning, tools, and likely familiarity with the yard. It could be an inside link or someone who studied the site.
