Villa Community Shocked by Late-Night Armed Robbery on Bay Street

A late-night robbery on Bay Street has left the community in Villa reeling after a resident reported being held up by three masked gunmen.

The victim, identified as Tequan Whyte, contacted the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D) around 12:10 AM to report the incident.

According to the police report, Whyte was walking along Bay Street when he was approached from behind by the armed assailants who demanded his belongings.

The robbers made off with two silver chains valued at 650.00 ECC, 200.00 ECC in cash, and a blue cellphone, the value of which has yet to be determined.

Following the report, officers, quickly mobilized to investigate the crime. Interviews with witnesses were conducted in the area, and several individuals provided valuable information regarding the incident.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver Toyota Belta motor car, registration number A2264, heading east. Despite a thorough search of the area, law enforcement was unable to locate either the assailants or the vehicle.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to gather information and seek leads in the case.
