Woman Escapes Armed Robbery Attempt at All Saints Junction

Police are investigating an attempted robbery involving a woman who narrowly escaped an armed assailant who tried to force her from her vehicle at gunpoint.

The incident occurred at the junction of All Saints Road and Jonas Road on Wednesday, June 26 at approximately 7:37 p.m. According to reports, the woman had just returned to her vehicle after visiting her doctor. After entering and locking the car doors, an armed gunman began knocking on the driver’s side window and demanding that she open the door.

Thinking quickly, the woman reversed onto Jonas Road and sped away from the scene, managing to escape unharmed.

The suspect is said to have been wearing a white shirt and light blue jeans, with braided hair. A police search of the surrounding area was conducted shortly after but did not result in an arrest.

The Royal Police Force is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen an individual matching the description to contact the nearest police station immediately.

  1. So if I am wearing a braided hair white shirt and blue jeans it is me?…….

No complexion, no height, no visible marks, so that means it could be anyone that has been wearing blue jeans, white shirt, and braided hair.

  5. This is a concerning situation right now in Antigua and Barbuda. To me, this matter underscores the importance of staying vigilant and aware of our surroundings, especially when getting into a vehicle. It’s terrifying to think about the risks people face, and I hope the police are able to catch these people before they can harm anyone else. It’s a reminder for everyone to take extra precautions and trust their instincts in similar situations.
