Young Man Struck by Vehicle in Alleged Attempted Murder Case

A young man was allegedly struck by a vehicle in an apparent act of attempted murder. Kadeem Spencer, 27, reported to the Liberta Police Station that he was hit by a black Toyota Vitz while navigating the streets of New Village on the morning of July 3, 2025, at around 9:00 AM.

According to police reports, Spencer was a passenger in a blue Honda Fit driven by his girlfriend, Latreece Federick. As they traveled together, they encountered a black Toyota Vitz—owned and driven by Wayne Charles of Brownes Avenue—who allegedly attempted to force them off the road in a dangerous and aggressive maneuver.

The terrifying encounter escalated when Latreece parked the Honda Fit close to her home. Spencer exited the vehicle, only to see the black Toyota Vitz barreling towards him at high speed. The impact was catastrophic; he was knocked to the ground and sustained multiple abrasions across his body.

The police reported that upon arriving at the scene, he observed the severity of Spencer’s injuries. A medical examination was promptly arranged to assess the full extent of the damage inflicted upon him.

Despite a thorough search for the alleged offender, authorities have thus far been unsuccessful in locating Wayne Charles. The police are urging any witnesses or individuals with further information to come forward as the investigation continues.

This alarming incident has prompted discussions within the community about road safety and the consequences of reckless driving. As the investigation unfolds, residents are left grappling with the unsettling reality of violence on their streets, hoping for justice and a swift resolution to this disturbing case.
