Team Antigua Barbuda concluded the NACAC U13 & U15 Championships with an impressive 5th place finish, marking their highest placement ever in the history of the event.
The eight-member squad consisted of a talented group of young athletes: Kiarah Simon, Aliyah Williams, Gideon Roberts, and Nicquan Webster, who competed in the U13 Pentathlon; alongside Leann Joseph, Marian Whyte, Chance DeGannes, and Geron Henry in the U15 Heptathlon.
The team showcased remarkable performances against stiff competition, finishing behind eventual champions Grenada, as well as the Bahamas, Barbados, and the Dominican Republic, who placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
Highlighting the team’s achievements, Gideon Roberts secured the gold medal in the U13 Boys 60m race, while Kiarah Simon earned a silver medal in the girls’ category.
