The government is taking steps to enhance dental services for various segments of the community, with a particular focus on youth.
This initiative follows an update from Minister of Health Sir Molwyn Joseph to his Cabinet colleagues regarding the free healthcare services provided during a health fair last week.
In his detailed report, Sir Molwyn revealed that the health fair resulted in significant savings for the government, amounting to approximately $2.5 million.
Based on the findings regarding dental services provided, the Cabinet has approved the immediate acquisition and equipping of a mobile dental unit, specifically designed to offer teeth cleaning services for children aged 5 to 14.
This unit is expected to be operational by the beginning of the new school year.

great initiative
Glad to see the government putting real money into preventive care. $2.5 million in savings is impressive
Sounds promising, but let’s hope it’s not just a photo-op project. We need consistent follow-through.
Sounds good..Pls to do the same for eye care..
Dental work in ANU is so expensive. They might aswell move around to give uou services
Bravo! Kids ages 5–14 getting access to dental care before cavities take hold; that’s real public health foresight.
