Empress Draws Opening Slot as 21 Calypsonians Vie for Monarch Finals

The performance order for the Calypso Monarch Semi-Finals has been determined after contestants drew their positions from a box, setting the stage for Thursday’s highly anticipated showdown.

Twenty-one calypsonians will battle for a spot in the finals when the competition takes centre stage on July 17th, 2025, at Carnival City, beginning at 8 pm.

Following the draw, Empress will lead off the evening’s proceedings, having picked the number one slot. She will be followed by Sammie C (2), Richie Francis (3), Singing Julie (4), Kid Fresh (5), De Boss (6), Ge’Eve (7), King Tian Winter (8), Queen Gee Bee (9), and King Zacari (10) rounding out the first half of the competition.

The second half will feature Willie Wawa (11), Queen Singing Althea (12), Ruez (13), Queen Thalia (14), Destroyer Sr (15), De Snatcher (16), Lyrical Reds (17), De Sniper (18), Raiine (19), Lyrics Man (20), and Dr. Solo (21) closing out the evening.
