A 27-year-old man from Old Road has been released on bail following accusations of assaulting his niece, Samantha Garnette.

Dwayne Lewis appeared in court on Thursday, facing charges of inflicting physical harm, with medical reports indicating that Garnette suffered a fractured left orbital bone from the alleged incident on April 20th.

Lewis has been granted bail set at $30,000, subject to certain conditions, including the requirement to surrender his travel documents.

The proceedings have been postponed until November 27, 2025.
