The Central Board of Health (CBH) removed a truckload of expired food from a supermarket on Lower All Saints Road after discovering that items were being sold past their expiration dates.

Many unsuspecting customers had purchased these products as we hear in this interview with Sharon Martin, the Chief Health Inspector at the CBH.

  3. we’re still on this? there are many others who need inspection so I hope they will continue.

Rather than regurgitate this story a business was just robbed why not interview the owner , find out how he was affected, how did business go today , what measures would they like to see put in place to curb the increase in robberies that we are seeing etc.

You can tell when it’s a slow news day over here.

    • Lol. Why don’t you go ask the owner how was business today since you would like to know.

      • I think Shelly has a point and it would have made for a good news story.

Too many small businesses have suffered at the hands of these ruthless thugs and they would have to double up to make back lost revenue. (stolen)

    • Really Shelby. The authorities job should not be taken from them. This is something about our health which is very informative.
Thank U Antigua News for alerting us about the thi gs that business places do cuz sometimes we really look to see if goods are expired or not. This will now bring awareness when heading to the supermarket.

      • My point was this said news portal carried the story already. Can tell who follow the channel daily.
There are many others doing the same thing so I hope CBH catch them too.

      • Hi Shelly, thanks for your comment. You said we carried this story already? I don’t believe that’s the case. Can you post the link to that story here so that I can verify this?

    • Seems like you work at the establishment and is very sadden by what happened. Don’t be pissed girly

  6. The CBH has the task of inspecting these businesses not the media. I would like to see behind these Chinese and Syrians kitchen. The areas they prepare their food. And since we cannot see it the CBH is tasked with the job.
