The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has announced the locations for its Mobile Payment Centre as well as its planned electricity maintenance schedule for the week of July 21 to 25, 2025.
Throughout the week, the APUA Mobile Payment Centre will be stationed at various convenient locations across the island, allowing customers to settle utility bills and access inet services including mobile top-ups.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, 21 July: All Saints Corner, opposite the Service Station
Tuesday, 22 July: Cassada Gardens, Old Head Office
Wednesday, 23 July: Caribbean Cinema, Friars Hill Road
Thursday, 24 July: V.E.G. International
Friday, 25 July: Antigua Grammar School
Operating hours are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily.
In addition to payment services, APUA has also outlined a series of planned power outages necessary for ongoing infrastructure upgrades, line repairs, and pole replacements. The maintenance is part of the Authority’s efforts to enhance the reliability and consistency of electricity supply across the island.
Electricity Maintenance Schedule
On Monday, July 21, residents in Ottos near Baxter Street will experience a disruption from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM. Power will also be interrupted in Swetes, from Wesleyan Holiness Church to Page Pond, between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM, and in the Bendals and Body Pond area from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
On Tuesday, July 22, a morning outage from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM is scheduled for Freetown, particularly near the school and Methodist Church. Later, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, service will be interrupted in Wynter Farm and John Hughes, opposite the Catholic Retreat Center.
For Wednesday, July 23, maintenance will affect Green Bay and Gary’s Farm on King Obstinate Drive from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while in the afternoon between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM, outages are expected on the Buckley Line from Echo to KFC, a section of Golden Grove near Marleen’s Grill, and along Potters Main Road.
The maintenance work continues on Thursday, July 24, impacting multiple areas: St. Philips, Johnsons Point east of the Clinic, and Cassada Gardens near Kings Glass and Jim Daddy, all between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Additionally, Crab Hill near Keyonna Beach Resort will be affected from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and parts of Wireless Road near Lauchland Benjamin Drive will lose power between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Finally, on Friday, July 25, power will be interrupted in Liberta near the Seventh-Day Adventist Church from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and along All Saints Road near LICS Limited from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
