
Dozens of talented youths will take to the stage tonight in the hopes of being crowned the new University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus Junior Calypso Monarch.
Competitors in two age categories – 5-12 and 13-19 will perform songs touching on themes of crime, violence, peace, and patriotism.
They will hope to dethrone Faith Edwards who made her debut performing under the name Princess Faith. She claimed the top spot in the 5-12 category with her song ‘Young Soldier.’
