VIDEO: APUA Warns Customers of Imposter Calls
In a recent announcement, APUA has urged its customers to remain vigilant against potential fraudsters posing as representatives of the company.
The utility provider emphasized that they are not contacting customers to request personal details such as email addresses, banking information, or any other sensitive data.
“We are not calling customers to request email addresses for a system reboot, banking details, or any other personal information,” APUA stated in their warning. They further advised anyone receiving such unsolicited calls to refrain from sharing any information and to hang up immediately.
As scams become increasingly sophisticated, APUA encourages customers to stay alert and cautious when receiving unexpected calls. The company reassured customers that their privacy and security are paramount, and they are taking steps to combat these fraudulent activities.
Customers are encouraged to report any suspicious communications to APUA and to remain informed about safe practices to protect their personal information.
