Opposition Leader and Parliamentary Representative for All Saints East and Saint Luke, Jamal Pringle, is calling on residents to join him and other members of the UPP to picket the parliament building during the next parliamentary sitting on Thursday.
The government has announced that it will address its outstanding debts to the Social Security Scheme by issuing a bond. A significant portion of the proceeds, projected to be around $75 million, will be directed toward upgrading Jolly Beach Hotel, a key player in the local tourism industry.
This matter will be presented to Parliament for discussion this Thursday.
But in an address to the nation on Monday, Pringle is totally against the matter, calling on residents to stand up against the move.

What??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is this an official statement? I heard the National Anthem so just asking
So, Pringle, bring out your usual sixty (60) idlers if you can muster even that, to join you in your scaredy-cat fearmongering. What if the sky falls tomorrow? What if the world ends tonight. Let’s watch and wait. Progress is risky. Let’s not chance it. Let’s do nothing.
That’s been the UPP mantra while they held the reins of power for ten torturous years. Nothing was ever ventured; nothing gained. Antigua, under their weight, remained stagnant – zero growth, while all the other Caribbean leaders boldly embraced the future, carefully considered the inevitable risks and stepped forward, not hiding likes wussies in the bush hungry and afraid. The UPP style of government is sooo depassè!, totally devoid of knowledgeable, competent and fearless leadership.
