Peetron’s Work Fu Um! Summer Camp runs from August 6th to 29th
Peetron Thomas is making a significant impact in Antigua and Barbuda through his Work Fu Um! initiative, which has evolved from an inspiring book into a motivational groovy soca song, and now into a cultural summer camp focused on empowering the nation’s youth.
In its second year, the Work Fu Um! Summer Camp runs from August 6th to 29th at Sun City at Anchorage Inn. It aims to nurture creativity and build confidence among young participants by offering a diverse program that includes music lessons, poetry workshops, cultural education, career guidance, and fun activities like pool parties and field trips.
Peetron, who previously reached the semifinals of the Soca Monarch competition, emphasizes that the camp is more than just an event; it’s a movement that equips youth with essential tools for success. This year, he also served as the Deputy Chair of the Junior Calypso Monarch Subcommittee, mentoring young artists and organizing a talent competition at the camp to celebrate their talents.
Parents can enroll their children for the month-long program for $350, which covers lunch and includes safe daily transportation.
