Briston Smith employed at First Choice Supermarket

Briston Smith is officially off the market—job market, that is!

After a rather disheartening trip down the aisles of Chase Supermarket, where he was turned away due to his disability, Briston has bagged a job at First Choice Supermarket. Talk about a plot twist worthy of a reality show!

“I want to give a shout-out to Antigua.news for being my cheerleader and to everyone who lifted me up,” Briston shared in a heartfelt message. “The right people heard my story, and now I have a job—and I’m thrilled!”

Briston is employed at the warehouse at First Choice, where he does inventory and also drives the forklift.

Born with only three fingers on each hand, Briston faced a tough challenge at Chase when he arrived for an interview, only to be dismissed before he could even step into the meeting room. The rationale? His disability meant they didn’t see the need for an interview. Ouch!

But here’s where the plot thickens: after his story made headlines, Chase Supermarket did a backtrack and called him back—this time offering him a job. However, Briston had already moved on and said thanks, but no thanks.

In the supermarket race of life, it looks like Briston has found his perfect fit with First Choice. Who knew the checkout line could lead to such a sweet ending?

    • It idiotic, no life, no heart, no brain people like you that brings people down. You don’t see the good you just guess the bad because that’s how you live your life. Should be happy that the supermarket called him in for a job. A supermarket like first choice don’t need fame. It has fame already. So I don’t know what you’re trying to say

      • RIKA is saying not trying to say if he had gone to 1st choice instead of CHASE maybe they would have done the same But because he went to chase and the story break out then first choice offer him a job. What is so hard to understand? This could be the reality or may not, but it is a possibility…… The most important part. I am glad he got a job.

  13. Briston, you need to take Shermain Bique-Charles on a dinner date when you receive your first pay check. The way she pushed for you to get that coverage and eventually a job. LOL Hope one day antigua.News gets a award.
