Cabinet Commends Central Board of Health for Carnival Cleanup Efforts
Prime Minister Gaston Browne, both personally and on behalf of the Cabinet, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Central Board of Health (CBH) for their remarkable work in restoring St. John’s and its surrounding areas post-carnival festivities.
The Cabinet highlighted the consistent exceptional performance of CBH employees who ensure the city is returned to its pristine state after significant national events.
While gratitude was conveyed, the Cabinet also issued a call for enhanced civic responsibility, encouraging both revelers and residents to take pride in keeping the city and the nation clean.
In addition, the Cabinet praised the efforts of the Public Works Department for their ongoing commitment to maintaining the nation’s roads and infrastructure. The impressive productivity and dedication shown by the staff were acknowledged, with a push for this standard of excellence to motivate performance throughout the public sector.
In related news, the Minister for Agriculture reported that cleanup and land preparation initiatives are currently in progress at CADES Bay, aided by newly acquired equipment. Additional machinery is expected to arrive soon, allowing for further work at Christian Valley.
These actions aim to facilitate the subdivision and productive use of agricultural lands that require clearing.
