Antigua and Barbuda has been featured in a new light as Ambassador Refica Attwood delivered the keynote address at the Young Professionals Fellowship, a prestigious global gathering of youth leaders.
Attwood is the first Antuguan Barbudan to attend this fellowship.
Presently in Toronto, Canada, Attwood who is the founder of Wallings Nature Reserve spoke with state media ahead of the occasion.
She shared her eagerness to highlight Antigua and Barbuda to the world.
“I’m actually excited to tell the Wallings story. I am the only small island in the room, so tomorrow I’m supposed to be putting on my version with the Antigua and Barbuda flag. So today is Wallings Day, so I’ll be holding the Wallings flag and I am excited to share with persons as far as Vietnam about what this small island girl can do.
“So, most persons in the room don’t know where Antigua and Barbuda is, so my presentation is going to show them where the Caribbean is, where Antigua and Barbuda is, and what a small island girl can do. I’ve made an impact internationally, and I’m excited to bring new eyes and ears to Antigua and Barbuda,” Attwood said.
