The much-anticipated Renal Centre, spearheaded by Minister of Health Sir Molwyn Joseph, is making steady progress toward completion, signaling a major boost to Antigua and Barbuda’s healthcare services.
Senator Michael Joseph, who received a recent update on the project, praised the Ministry of Health for its visionary leadership and commitment to expanding medical capacity on the island.

“Once completed, this facility will stand as a testament to the Ministry of Health’s visionary leadership and commitment to expanding our healthcare capacity. It’s about delivering state-of-the-art services right here in Antigua, not just for our people but for the wider region.” Senator Joseph said.
The new centre will provide specialised treatment for kidney-related illnesses, reducing the need for patients to seek care overseas and improving access to life-saving services locally.

“Proud to see this dream taking shape, and even prouder of what it will mean for our future” he added.
Construction is ongoing, with officials expressing confidence that the centre will soon open its doors, marking a new era in Antigua’s healthcare landscape.

“State of the art Care” . Something the hospital cannot provide? Interesting
This is such great news! Having kidney treatment available locally will ease so much stress for families. Looking forward to the centre opening.
I’m happy that the government is investing more into the health care facilities across the country.
Our health is our weather and having state if the art facilities WITH THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT ogres well for our residents
A new building and new machines are a great start, but the long-term success of this center will depend on a few key things: consistent funding, a steady supply of medical consumables, and a well-trained, dedicated staff. We need to ensure that this is a sustainable project and not just a one-time investment. This is a chance for Antigua to build a medical institution that will serve our people for generations.
