Lieutenant Colonel Alando Michael was officially sworn in today as a member of the Industrial Court of Antigua and Barbuda during a ceremony officiated by His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, the Governor General.
This appointment completes the Court’s full complement of members.
During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Michael took two important oaths: the Oath of Secrecy and the Oath of Office.
He committed to fulfilling his responsibilities with integrity and confidentiality.

In his address, Sir Rodney expressed his congratulations to Lt. Col. Michael and conveyed his confidence in the new appointee’s ability to make meaningful contributions to resolving industrial disputes fairly and justly in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Industrial Court plays a crucial role in ensuring harmonious labor relations across the nation.
It is responsible for adjudicating conflicts between employers and employees, interpreting labor laws, and ensuring adherence to employment contracts and collective bargaining agreements.
The work of the Court is fundamental in creating a stable and productive work environment that benefits both workers and businesses.






This is an excellent appointment. Lt. Col. Michael’s background in leadership and public administration will be a significant asset to the Industrial Court.
