Antigua and Barbuda's Prime Minister Drops Reggae Track 'Gassy Dread’

PM Gaston Browne as “Gassy Dread”

Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister has dropped a reggae track called “Gassy Dread,” proving that politics can indeed have rhythm!

Browne, who proudly dons the rastaman badge, shared with Antigua News that he penned the lyrics himself—with a little help from his digital friend, ChatGPT. Who knew AI could groove?!

Despite his claims of deep Rastafarian roots grounded in love and unity, Browne skips the marijuana, opting for a high on inspiration instead.

The music is a collaboration with AI & Jus Bus, showcasing a voice generated by AI and produced by none other than Gassy Dread, Congo, and Bongo, I.

  1. Alright now! I just love how my beloved Prime Minister Browne channels his inner rasta ( too bad you don’t have the hair for it though LOL) and this song truly does him justice.

  6. Well, this is one way to get people talking! ‘Gassy Dread’ is definitely a memorable title. It’s a fun and unique move. Politics can be so serious, so it’s a bit refreshing to see a different side of our leader.

  8. I almost like it. It’s kinda cute. Decent lyrics. Nice montage showcasing his work in the community. Good political messaging (election in the air?) Nice self expression. Good sense of humour. Interesting use of AI. Not sure if real rastas make use of soulless “Babylon” systems such as AI to create art though. For a normal song, the melodious sounds of a real human voice with emotions in the right places would connect more with human beings, but this is just a political song anyway so that doesn’t matter too much in this case I guess.
