An entertainer facing charges of serious indecency and indecent assault had his case forwarded to the High Court during today’s proceedings before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel.
The accused, whose identity remains protected under legal restrictions, will face trial at the September 2025 Criminal Assizes.
The criminal charges relate to an incident allegedly occurring on December 23, 2024, with a young adult woman as the complainant.
During the court session today, prosecutors presented evidence that included WhatsApp message exchanges.
The accused is presently on $9000 bail which included a required cash deposit of $3,000.
The bail conditions impose specific limitations on the accused, including maintaining a minimum distance of 5 feet from the complainant and a complete prohibition on contact with minors.
These restrictions remain in place even though the alleged victim is above the legal age of consent.
