Man Files Police Report Over $14,000 Vehicle Fraud

Authorities have launched an investigation into allegations of fraud involving thousands of dollars paid for vehicle clearance services that were reportedly never provided.

A Follies Development resident has filed a complaint with police alleging he transferred $14,000 Eastern Caribbean dollars to a Gunthorpes resident in April 2025 for port vehicle clearance services. Months later, the complainant reports he has neither received his cleared vehicle nor any communication from the alleged service provider.

  1. Lord have mercy. people are still falling prey to these unscrupulous people. Well I sure you have your receipts to show who account the money went to. In this day and age people still bad playing people like that. You should have gotten the police involved the next day, cause i recently cleared a vehicle and it wasn’t that hard.
    It took me two days to get my vehicle out

When people get away with fraud, it encourages more of the same. The police need to send a strong message that this kind of criminal activity will not be tolerated. We need to protect consumers from these kinds of scams.
