The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and the Blue Economy has pushed back the highly anticipated PiAngo Fest 2025 by one week, citing safety concerns as Tropical Storm Erin moves closer to the region.

The event, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 17 at the Cades Bay Agricultural Station, will now take place on Sunday, August 24. The festival celebrates Antigua and Barbuda’s famed pineapples and mangoes, known locally as the “King and Queen of Fruits.”

In a statement, the Ministry said the postponement was a disappointing but necessary decision to ensure the safety of patrons, vendors, performers, staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

Organizers encouraged the public to follow official updates in the lead-up to the rescheduled date, assuring that plans remain in place for a vibrant and festive celebration once the storm threat has passed.
