The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service has issued a High Surf Warning for Barbuda, Anguilla, and the British Virgin Islands due to dangerous long-period swells impacting northern and north-facing coastlines.
Forecasters are warning of breaking waves exceeding 3 meters (10 feet), with some reaching up to 4.6 meters (15 feet). The swells are expected to create life-threatening rip currents, coastal flooding, beach erosion, and potential damage to marine infrastructure, coral reefs, and coastal roads. Beach access and marine businesses may also be disrupted.
The warning remains in effect until midday for Barbuda, through the afternoon for Anguilla, and until tonight for the British Virgin Islands. Authorities are advising residents and visitors to avoid swimming in affected areas, stay away from rocks, jetties, and exposed coastal zones, and only swim where lifeguards are present or on sheltered beaches.
Officials also reminded anyone caught in a rip current to stay calm, float, swim parallel to the shore if possible, and signal for help. The public is urged to monitor updates through the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service and trusted local media outlets.

That’s nothing. Compared to the hurricane 4 category storm that gave us a scare.
Please take heed people. Protect yourselves and your property
Stay safe, people. The beach will still be there when the waves calm down.
